The Ice Age Trail is growing! There are significant gaps between existing trail in Chippewa County and the rest of the Ice Age Trail.
Chippewa Moraine Chapter is studying routes for the trail to follow as it joins its sister segments in Taylor County to the east, and Rusk County to the north.
A formal Corridor Study process, under the direction of the National Park Service, is in process to study the route options in eastern Chippewa County. Open houses were held in 2005. Documents, maps, and other information about this process is available here.
