Chippewa Moraine Chapter IAPTF

First Sunday Hike This Sunday!

We’ll go on an enjoyable ramble on the Harwood Lakes section of IAT in Chippewa County this Sunday, August 5. Meet at 9:30 AM at the Chippewa Moraine Visitor Center, and we’ll head out, arranging some cars, and begin our walk. Bring a lunch for a lunch stop, and bring water and plan for mosquitos.

One highlight will be sizing up a boardwalk-building project that will take place the following Saturday. Bring your good ideas!

Speaking of... On Saturday, August 11, we’ll install a donated boardwalk (from Beaver Creek Reserve) at Mudbrook, about a mile east of Plummer Lake Road. We’ll meet at the Visitor Center at 9:30 AM, and then proceed to Plummer Lake to park and trek in. Bring work clothes, gloves, water, and lunch.

If you have a portable electric drill, bring it along. Hammers will also be helpful, as will a maul if you have one. If you plan to bring a maul or drill, please let me know! It also helps to know if you are planning to come, so please reply if you know you will be there.
