While setting up the CPR class, we learned of a unique Wilderness First Aid training opportunity that is being offered by the Red Cross in Chippewa Falls, beginning March 2. The class runs four or five sessions over the next two weeks, from 5 PM to 9 PM. The first session is a full CPR class, which could be omitted if you are already certified and taking the refresher class on Saturday. The full information is here. We can't promise the IATA will pick up the tab for this one ($95 including the CPR), but it sure sounds worth it for those spending time in remote locations (not to mention being a very reasonable price).
Because the class starts next Tuesday, you need to commit to the class by this Friday. There are currently a few openings, and it would be great for some of our members to have this training. Please call or email ASAP.
