Twelve IAPTF members spent the better part of Saturday, February 28, receiving instruction in First Aid, CPR, and AED use. Eight participants were from our Chippewa Moraine Chapter, three were from the Superior Lobe Chapter, and one was from the Blue Hills Chapter, making it a successful regional event!
First Aid and CPR training are required for equipment operators, but also it is also helpful on any chapter work day, hike, or public event to have multiple trained members available in case of an incident. The Chippewa Valley Red Cross Chapter provides an instructor, and the IAPTF and NPS covered the training costs.
Chippewa Moraine:
JoAnn Parks, Christine Schaff, Cal Kraemer, Donna Kraemer, Rick Magyar, Ian Kees, Pat McKearn, and Richard Smith
Superior Lobe:
Don Erickson, Dale Crisler, Nancy Frank
Blue Hills:
Fred Nash
Other active members had previously received training. Another opportunity will be this summer at IAT-U, June 24-28, in Sauk Co.
