Chain saw operator training is planned for Sat. July 25th, 2009 at 8 am at the Herb Lundberg Property in Polk County near Frederick. There will be classroom discussions and in the woods training. All tools and chain saws; and safety equipment required will be furnished. If you want and need some pointers on your own saws, please bring them along.
Herb's property is located 2914 140 St., Frederick, between County Road W on the North and 280th Ave. on the south. The yellow IAT Trail Event signs will be up on State Hwy 48 on the south (about 2 miles east of Luck) and on Cty Road W, going East out of Frederic. Cost is $50.00 for NON MEMBERS and FREE to MEMBERS of the IATA. We are planning on two instructors and will probably divide the class into 2 groups, one for experienced sawyers and one for those just starting out in the use of chain saws.
Please bring a bag lunch, gloves, proper footwear, water and anything else that will make the day enjoyable.
